A hardy deciduous tree which in this form makes a compact rounded-head. Will do well in ordinary garden soil and in a sunny, sheltered position. Has bright green, heart-shaped leaves. The fragrant, white, yellow and purple marked, foxglove-like flowers appear in late summer. These are followed by long, slender seed pods.
