Trachelospermum jasminoides (Star jasmine)

A wonderful, evergreen, twining climber that will thrive in any well-drained and fairly moisture-retentive soil. Needs to be positioned in a sunny, sheltered spot, ideally with a south or west-facing wall as protection. Otherwise should be grown in a cool conservatory or glasshouse. Shiny, dark-green, oval leaves provide all-year round interest but the best feature is the highly fragrant jasmine-like white flowers which appear for several weeks in the summer.
